CVWMA Selected by Curbside Value Partnership |
|
CVWMA has been selected by Curbside Value Partnership (CVP) as one of two communities they will partner with in summer/fall of 2011. CVWMA is pleased to have the honor and privilege to work with CVP.
CVP is a national 501(c)(3) that works with selected communities nationwide each year to help each community develop, launch, and measure strategic education campaigns to increase tonnage collected and participation by eligible households in curbside recycling programs.
We hope to launch our new education campaign sometime this summer or early September. We hope you will check our website often for this new campaign message and help us get the word out.

| Hot Tips for a Cool Summer |
|
Tip # 1: as summer begins don't let your recycling end. Keep your recycling habits going whether at home or on vacation.
Doing little things can go a long way to having cool summer. Here are some tips from the US Environmental Protection Agency to help you and your family find ways to help reduce pollution and learn about the environment.
CVWMA has programs where you can recycle your yard waste. Recycle grass. Don't pick up the grass clippings after you mow. Clippings will return nutrients and moisture to the soil. Compost. Second to paper, yard waste comprises the largest volume of trash and takes up the most landfill space. Composting is a fun and easy way to keep this rich waste out of landfills and return organic nutrients to the soil without using commercial additives.
